According to a Twitter employee, the singer and his throng of supporters use up three percent of the company's servers at any given time. In fact, says blogger Dustin Curtis, who has a connection at the service, "racks of servers" are dedicated to Bieber.
“Every time Bieber tweets, his messages have to be delivered to more than five million people who then endlessly retweet it," Curtis said. "Apparently, his account receives more than 60 @-replies per second for a while after he tweets, which is something Twitter wasn’t originally designed to handle."
Wow. Lady Gaga may be the Queen of Twitter - but we all know who the King is now.
